Adarsh Gourav's filmography might seem small in size at the moment but it is evident already that the actor is here for the long run. Having impressed everyone with his performances in films like Rukh and The White Tiger and the very recent Netflix original series Guns & Gulaabs, Adarsh is all set to be part of the ensemble cast of the upcoming Hollywood science fiction horror series, Alien.

Adarsh Gourav joins Ridley Scott's mesmeric world

Alien, the TV series, is billed as a prequel to the 1979 cult classic of the same name, which was directed by Ridley Scott and based on a script by Dan O'Bannon. The upcoming series will be helmed by Noah Hawley (also the writer) and will take us back further in time with the story set 70 years prior to the events of the 1979 film. Adarsh Gourav joins the cast which already includes Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin and Essie Davis.

Scott remains attached to the project but as an executive producer with the country Thailand as the chosen location for production. Wikipedia suggests that the series' shoot came to a halt in August 2023 due to the ongoing screen actors and writers strike.

For Adarsh Gourav, the opportunity to play a prominent role in Alien, the series, is definitely huge considering the legacy and the popularity surrounding the franchise. Over the years, a number of films have been churned out of the world created by Dan O'Bannon & Ronald Shusett with acclaimed directors such as James Cameron, David Fincher & Jean-Pierre Jeunet associated with them.

The White Tiger, Guns & Gulaabs & more

Adarsh Gourav made his acting debut back in 2010 with Karan Johar's My Name is Khan wherein he played a younger version of Shah Rukh Khan's character Rizwan Khan. Following a break, he would return to the fore with films like Rukh (alongside Manoj Bajpayee), Mom and Ramin Bahrani's The White Tiger. In the latter film, which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Rajkumar Rao, Adarsh Gourav delivered a compelling performance that earned him a BAFTA nomination in the 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' category.

Adarsh's other major credits also include the web series Hostel Daze in which he plays one of the leads, Ankit Pandey.
