Ambajipeta Marriage Band, which has wrapped its shoot and post-production formalities, is all set for a mid-November release. Suhas plays the lead role in the film written and directed by a debutant Dushyanth Katikaneni. Shivani Nagaram is cast opposite the actor. Dheeraj Mogilineni produces the film under GA2 Pictures, Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment and Mahayana Motion Pictures.
Bunny Vas and Venkatesh Maha are the presenters. Much like Colour Photo, Writer Padmabhushan, Suhas’ upcoming film tells the story of an underdog, a drummer in a marriage band, who falls in love. A new song from the film, Gumma, was launched today. Shekar Chandra, the composer of Ambajipeta Marriage Band, has also crooned for the number which has lyrics by Rahman.
‘Donga Choopule..Rangu Poosele..Nannu Dochele..Dochele Haai..Konte Saigale..Maya Chesele..,’ the opening lines describe how has fallen head over heels in love with a college-going girl. Lines like ‘Yetta..Yettane..Aapedhi Yettane..Eppudeppudantu Gunde Dappu Kottene’ smartly look at love through the eyes of a drummer and his instrument.
The number is largely a creative expression of the lyricist and the composer, elaborating on the happiness of a lovestruck youngster. Shekar Chandra’s vocals and his energetic rendition, matched by the equally enthusiastic dance moves of Suhas (choreographed by Moin) are the major highlights of Gumma. The rustic locales, folksy musical hook and the charming picturisation elevate its appeal.
Jagadeesh Prathap Bhandari, Goparaju Ramana are also part of the lineup. Wajid Baig has cranked the camera for the film while Major fame Kodati Pavan Kalyan is the editor. Ashish Teja Pulala is the art director. Bharath Gandhi is the costume designer. The teaser of the film released to good responses recently and the pre-release reports Ambajipeta Marriage Band are quite encouraging.
