Gulshan Devaiah is back with Duranga 2. The series co-stars Drashti Dhami and Amit Sadh. The show is currently streaming on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium and it has more action than ever. The leading actor – Gulshan – spoke about working on action scenes for the show.

What Gulshan said about action in the series

The makers have released a new promo from the show. While stating that violence is always tricky, Gulshan shared, “There’s a line. We’re acting, right? We can’t really hit something.”

The actor further explained, “How do you still make it look like you are in an actual fight? It’s always tricky and I need to mentally go through it as many number of times. You just go in motions with no force or emotion and then getting the blockings and timings right.”

“And when you get it right, there is immense satisfaction because some of those things are quite difficult to do. Some of those parts, to get timings, are quite difficult. When you get that, then the director and action director have a big smile on their face. That’s really satisfying because you did your job right,” he concluded.

On Drashti Dhami, Gulshan Devaiah and Amit Sadh

The show features Drashti Dhami as the female lead. She is a cop who is married to the character played by Gulshan Devaiah. Although he pretends to be a great husband and father to their child, the character is the lead antagonist on the show – a killer that Drashti’s Ira was searching for since a long time. Meanwhile, the real Sammit Patel is back and is played by Amit Sadh. He has a considerable amount of action with Gulshan in the second installment of the show.

The other actors

Dhaval Thakur, who plays the role of Jaydeep Raie on the show, said that he was waiting to be able to fire bullets. Kiran Srinivas, who plays Nikhil Pradhan on the show, pointed out how the action scenes became an important part of the second season. Ganesh Yadav aka Gopal Kalburgi from the show, recalls the shot where he was actually hurt when Gulshan beat him up. Zakir Hussain is seen in the role of Bala Banne on the show. He said that when action is mixed with a scene, the scene becomes interesting and a lot more fun.
