In honor of Sridevi's 60th birthday, one of Indian cinema's most renowned and influential actresses, Google has created a special doodle. The doodle was made by Mumbai-based guest artist Bhumika Mukherjee and will be displayed on Google's homepage on August 13, 2023. It depicts Sridevi in a poised dance position.

The doodle brings about nostalgia in the fans of the late actor by capturing the spirit and aura of Indian film with a dramatic typeface and warm hues.

Google included important details about her career trajectory in their description of the doodle. “She fell in love with movies as a child and started acting at four years old in the Tamil movie, Kandhan Karunai. Sridevi learned to speak multiple South Indian languages, which allowed her to break into India’s other film industries…”

“…Widely considered the star of Tamil cinema at the time, Sridevi’s on-screen charisma garnered attention from producers from the Hindi-speaking film industry as well,” it said.

The description further read “After playing the lead role in the action comedy Himmatwala, Sridevi established herself as a national icon and box-office attraction in Bollywood. She remains one of the only Bollywood actresses to headline blockbuster movies without a male actor in an industry that was traditionally male-dominated."

The tragic death of Sridevi on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, shocked the country and the entire world. She had accidentally drowned and was discovered dead in her hotel bathtub.

Numerous books, documentaries, and biopics have profiled Sridevi's life and career. Sridevi's films, which continue to uplift and enthrall audiences for years, carry on her legacy. She still reigns as the screen's immortal goddess after dominating Indian cinema with her skills and magnetism.
