Director Vinayak Chandrasekaran's Good Night was one of the surprise hits of this year in Kollywood. The film, which didn't create much buzz until its trailer release, started garnering expectations after the promo video was unveiled. Cinephiles pinned hopes on the movie and they were right.
The project opened to good response from critics and moviegoers. Manikandan plays the lead in it while Meetha Raghunath, Balaji Sakthivel and Ramesh Thilak among others essayed important characters. Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian and Yuvaraj Ganesan have bankrolled the movie which was distributed by Shakthi Film Factory across Tamil Nadu.
Sean Roldan has composed music for Good Night which has cinematography by Jayanth Sethu Mathavan and editing by Barath Vikraman. Srikanth Gopal has helmed art direction for the film for which Mohan Rajan has penned lyrics.
The movie earned praise for its engaging screenplay, relatable emotions, intriguing characters and realistic portrayal of lives. Manikandan, Meetha Raghunath and Ramesh Thilak received appreciation from several quarters for their performances. Sean Roldan's music, too, garnered brownie points from cinephiles.
Good Night is now ready for its OTT premiere. It will drop on Disney+ Hotstar on July 3. The platform has officially made the announcement now, leaving film buffs excited. We had reported earlier that Hotstar has bagged the movie's digital rights.

Its story revolves around an IT employee who faces trouble in his family life owing to his snoring problem. How he deals with it without his professional life getting affected forms the rest of the story. The movie marks actor-writer Manikandan's first outing this year. This is also his second project in the lead after Aelay which was released in 2021.
