Good Night on OTT: This leading platform has bagged the digital rights of the Manikandan film

The digital rights of Manikandan's latest outing Good Night has been bagged by Disney + Hotstar. The feel-good drama, helmed by Vinayak Chandrasekaran, features Manikandan and Meetha Raghunath in the lead. The film, which has become a hit, courtesy the word of mouth, is now enjoying the third week in theatres. And it looks like footfalls continue to be steady for the film.

The plot of Good Night revolves around an exuberant IT professional Mohan (Manikandan), who is battling an extensive snoring problem. When he gets married, he tries every trick under the sun to reduce the loud snoring noise. The film has been basking in the accolades for its realistic portrayal of a middle class man's life.

OTTplay critic P Sangeetha wrote in her review, "Director Vinayak Chandrasekaran’s Good Night is an emotionally uplifting film, which has its heart in the right place. Laced with some solid performances and brilliant writing and filmmaking, Manikandan and Meetha Raghunath's Good Night is a warm concoction of some hearty moments, humour and emotions.

The star cast for the film comprises Ramesh Thilak, Raichal Rebecca, Balaji Sakthivel, Bagavathi Perumal to name a few. Music for the film is by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Jayanth Sethu Mathavan, editing by Barath Vikraman and art direction by Srikanth Gopal.

Actor Karthi, who watched the film, was all praise for it. He called the film charming and wrote, "#Goodnight - such a charming film. How did u guys make each moment of life so real yet funny and beautiful!? Felt life is beautiful with all its flaws. Loved it. Taking home all the characters with me."

The film's director replied saying, "Thank you sir @Karthi_Offl I didn’t expect a call from you and was very happy on particularly mentioning about characters and crafts over the phone…This phone call was a pleasant surprise Thank you so much for the appreciation sir (sic)! "
