Ajith Kumar, the popular star of Tamil cinema, is set to team up with young filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran for his next outing. The actor-director duo’s much-awaited project which has been titled Good Bad Ugly, is touted to be an out-and-out action drama. As per the recent updates, the Ajith starrer, which reportedly features the actor in the role of a gangster from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, has finally started rolling in Hyderabad today (May 10, 2024).
Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly starts rolling
According to the latest updates, the shooting of Good Bad Ugly has begun at a popular film city in Hyderabad today. Reportedly, the team opted to have a low-key pooja ceremony for the film, just like leading man Ajith Kumar’s recent projects, in the presence of the cast and crew members. Director Adhik Ravichandran and his team are reportedly planning to shoot the mass introduction sequence featuring Ajith, which will consist of a special song number and a high-voltage fight scene, in the first schedule.
Good Bad Ugly to get a Pongal 2025 release?
If the reports are to be believed, the makers of the highly anticipated Ajith Kumar starrer are planning to have a 2025 release for the film. If things go as planned, Good Bad Ugly might hit theatres by the first quarter of 2025, mostly as a Pongal release of the year. However, a final decision on the release date will be made only after director Adhik Ravichandran and his team wrap up the shooting of the film.
Ajith Kumar to appear in multiple looks?
The grapevine suggests that leading man Ajith Kumar, who is playing the role of a Madurai-based gangster in Good Bad Ugly, appears in multiple avatars in the film. Some unconfirmed reports also suggest that the movie, which is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is set in two different timelines and will feature Ajith in his vintage avatar after a very long gap. Interestingly, the makers of the action drama are reportedly planning to follow the new trend in Tamil cinema by using de-ageing technology for the characters played by the popular star, and a few other cast members.
