Godzilla x Kong The New Empire OTT release date in India: Here’s when and where you can stream popular monster film

After being available to rent on Amazon Prime Video, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is gearing up for its full-fledged OTT release .  Jio Cinema has now announced that the film will be available for streaming in India soon. It's the 38th Godzilla and 13th King Kong film, the fifth in the Monsterverse franchise, and the sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be available for streaming on Jio Cinema on August 29, 2024. The OTT platform dropped a video of the film and wrote, “Witness the rise of a new empire.” The film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.

To prevent the invasion of Earth by their despot and his icy monster, Kong must once again join forces with Godzilla after meeting more members of his species in Hollow Earth. Speaking about the plot, Adam Wingard took the story to a different level.  Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is one of the most loved films. The star cast features Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, Dan Stevens, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle, and Rebecca Hall.

Despite getting mixed reviews, the film, which was made with a budget of $135–150 million, became the highest-grossing Godzilla film of all time and the second highest-grossing film of 2024, with a global gross of $558.5 million.
