Godhuli Alap: Somu Sarkar gets emotional as the serial comes to an end

Godhuli Alap, the popular serial on Star Jalsa, depicts the story of two people with a huge age gap and yet come close to each other and fought together side by side despite social inequality. This was the debut of actress Somu Sarkar. The serial is ending soon. The crew and cast will assemble in the set for the last time on May 30. The actress became emotional. She is sad because the project is ending. 

Koushik Sen returned to television after a long time with this serial. Somu Sarkar acted opposite him. Initially, the audience liked the show. The love story between two people with a large age gap was much discussed. But the serial is not seen nowadays on the TRP list. Its TRP rating is low. Hence it is ending.

Somu told Anandabazar Online, “This was my debut. Hence I am very sad. I was involved with everyone. But everything has to end.” 

Somu hails from South Dinajpur. Somu said that, after the shooting ends, she would go home, and then would go to the mountains for a trip. The serial's last episode will be shown on June 4.

Gatchora, whose TRP is also low, will be seen in the 10.30 PM slot starting on May 5. The new serial Tute, starring Dipanwita Rakshit and Syed Arefin, will replace Gatchora's slot at 7 PM.
