It was in the year 2002 when the visuals from the 2002 Godhra train burning incident jolted the hearts of the countrymen, many of whom felt saddened after knowing about it. The incident sparked communal tensions in the city of Godhra in Gujarat.
In the said incident, it is claimed that about six dozen pilgrims returning from Ayodhya (a city in Uttar Pradesh) died in a fire inside the Sabarmati Express near the Godhra railway station in Gujarat. Though the exact cause of the fire is yet unknown, the incident did ignite riots in the state leaving thousands of people dead.
Just about a month ago, the Supreme Court of India granted bail to eight men convicted in the 2002 Godhra train burning case. Four other convicts were denied bail, as reported by news portal The Indian Express.
With debates continuing around the incident, MK Shivaaksh has decided to make a film around the incident. Just a few hours ago, the makers of the film, titled Godhra: Accident or Conspiracy, dropped the teaser of the film. In the teaser, viewers can get a glimpse of original news clippings and videos that were broadcast on the day of the incident.
The film is being produced by B.J. Purohit and Ram Kumar Pal. The film is expected to be released soon. The official description of the teaser released on YouTube reads, “This movie was made after a lot of hard work and five years of research. Many shocking facts were discovered by him during the research for this movie, which are well presented in the movie with proof.”
