Did you really believe that the closing scene featuring Brianne Howey's Georgia being escorted away in a police vehicle would be your last encounter with the Miller family? However, it's highly unlikely that Georgia would depart in such a subtle manner. Ginny & Georgia has received a third season renewal, so prepare your whipped cream and peaches. Production on Season 3 has now officially come to a close!

Creator insights on Season 3

In an interview with Tudum, creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert reveals that the second season concluded with Georgia's arrest for murder, which roasted her fairy-tale wedding and left the fate of the Miller family uncertain. Season 3 will be the most intense challenge that Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia have faced thus far. With much anticipation, they announce the start of production so that they can continue to deliver their beloved characters to their fans.

Here’s everything we know so far about Ginny & Georgia Season 3:

The third season of Ginny & Georgia began filming in Toronto as of April 29. On the set, Gentry shared with Tudum that it's always bittersweet to finish up a season. They discussed this during the final days of filming. Since they have post-production and other tasks, she knows they are not close. All she cares about is if people like their season's creations.

In the last weeks of filming, Howey, who plays Gentry's mother onscreen, experienced a range of emotions as well. She told Tudum that it's close, but there's so much exciting stuff to do. She feels that this upcoming season is going to be very incredible, so they are attempting to capture as many moments as possible. The scripts are excellent, and everyone has worked extremely hard, so naturally they are really proud.

Emotional reflections from the cast

The dynamic mother-daughter duo of Ginny and Georgia, played by Howey and Gentry, are back for another season. Joining them are fan favourites like Marcus Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Diesel La Torraca, Jennifer Robertson, Scott Porter, Joe, Abby, Zion, Silver, Katelyn Wells, and Joe.

During the January 2023 premiere of Season 2, SAG Award ambassador Gentry told Tudum that it still feels surreal. It means the world to her that the show has been successful. The influence it has had on people worldwide is even more significant.

New cast additions and storyline

Season 3 will include recurring appearances from Ty Doran and Noah Lamanna. Doran will portray Wolfe, an uninterested and carefree student in Ginny's poetry class, while Lamanna will portray Tris. Skateboarders, peer tutors, and best friends with Marcus and Silver—they're all very bright.

The creator, Sarah Lampert, has already reassured Tudum about the story's complete planning for the upcoming third and fourth seasons. The dramatic Season 2 climax, in which Georgia imprisons herself at her own wedding after suffocating a comatose Tom with a pillow to spare his family further misery, directly sets the stage for season three.

New challenges and executive producers

Prior to the introduction of the second season, Lampert assured Tudum that they had already planned the plot for Season 3, even though they still needed to build the storyline for Season 2. Georgia must carry out her intention to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts. However, Howey asserts that the matter remains unresolved until she speaks to Tudum. Their presentation isn't elegant, and life doesn't work that way. Georgia doesn't believe that this is her life. Now isn't the time for it to become her life.

Lampert went on to say that Ginny and Georgia will face new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges in Season 3 that they have never seen on the show before.

Season 2 of Ginny & Georgia delves into complex themes including sadness, first love, and the strong tie between a mother and daughter. It premiered on January 5, 2023, and by the fifth week after its release, the show had 56 million views. The series remained in the Global Top 10 for nearly two months, reaching 88 countries.

Showrunner and executive producer Sarah Glinski will be joining Lampert for Season 3. Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, and Armand Leo are among the executive producers, along with Jeff Tahler, Jenny Daly, Holly Hines, and Daniel March. Ali Kinney and Elena Blekhter serve as executive producers.
