Shiva Rajkumar's Ghost hit the big screens on October 19 amid a lot of fanfare, but the actor's fans weren't too pleased with the number of theatrical shows that were allotted to his film. Of course, Ghost had the slight misfortune of clashing with multiple other big releases - Leo, Bhagavanth Kesari and Tiger Nageswara Rao - which resulted in the Kannada film getting a subdued start at the Karnataka box office. And yet, MG Srinivas & Co. have held their own in the eye of the storm and are making gradual yet prominent progress in their theatrical run.

To put it simply, Ghost has been witnessing steady growth in its show count over the last three days and the team shares that the collections have improved simultaneously. In Bengaluru, the film began its journey on October 19th with sub 250 shows but the same sources now reveal that the show count, by Day #4, has gone up to 264. In the same vein, Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo started out with a whopping 1,114 shows in the city but myriad reasons have caused that count to dip slightly, with Day #4 boasting a little over 700 shows.

Leo's collections, too, have seen a decline during this phase but one could factor in Bhagavanth Kesari's credible run (along with that of Ghost) thus far. The Nandamuri Balakrishna - Anil Ravipudi collaboration is said to have grossed close to Rs. 2.75 crores in Karnataka over three days.

Although the latest trade reports do share that Ghost's box office performance has improved in the past couple of days, but the exact collections are yet to be disclosed by the makers.

All in all, Bengaluru and Karnataka continue to be favourable to films of all languages and all statures. As far as Ghost is concerned, the Telugu version of the film is set to release on October 27th and one does hope the positive word-of-mouth publicity generated so far will help the team to extend its theatrical run.
