National Award-winning filmmaker and actor Nagraj Manjule, who received pan-Indian fame with the Marathi film Sairat and the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Jhund, is looking forward to the digital premiere of his latest theatrical release, Ghar Banduk Biryani.
The film will be available to stream on ZEE5 starting June 2.
Speaking about the film, Nagraj said, "The approach of Ghar Banduk Biryani is unique and fascinating. Never before has the subject of oppression, suppression, and love been dealt with black comedy, action, and drama."
He is grateful for the support of the entire cast and crew, who have put in hard work to bring the story to life.
The action comedy also has Akash Thosar and Sayaji Shinde in pivotal roles.
Talking about the film, Sayaji said, "I have played numerous characters across industries and languages; however, playing Pallam in Ghar Banduk Biryani was a different experience since the character itself is unique, with many layers. Also, this film gave me an opportunity to work with Nagraj, who is very talented. Hemant (Jangal, the director) has done brilliant work in his debut film."
Ghar Banduk Biryani did well at the box office, becoming the third-highest-grossing Marathi film of the year.
