Kiran Korrapati makes his directorial debut with the film that has Saiee M Manjrekar playing the female lead

The much-awaited sports drama, Ghani, starring Varun Tej, Saiee M Manjrekar in the lead, is finally nearing its release. The film directed by first-time filmmaker Kiran Korrapati is all set to hit theatres on April 8. Ghani brings together an ensemble cast comprising Naveen Chandra, Naresh, Jagapathi Babu, Suneil Shetty, Nadhiya and Upendra. The boxing-centric film has music by S Thaman and is produced by Allu Bobby and Sidhu Mudda. The theatrical trailer of Ghani was released earlier today.
Ghani's trailer starts with a young boy promising his mother that he would never venture into boxing in his life ever again. Later, we see that he is discreet about his passion for boxing and wants to convey the same to his mother only when he reaches the top. In his college life, we're introduced to his lady love, played by Saiee Majrekar. Later, we see Varun Tej and Naveen Chandra getting into an ugly fight and they need to settle scores in the boxing ring.
Varun Tej faces a lot of hassles in his tryst with boxing and a lot of professional, psychological conflicts, particularly related to his dad. Suniel Shetty is cast as his coach who forces him to move past his obstacles and emerge stronger. The stylish trailer is slickly edited, has an emphatic background score by S Thaman and it's a treat to watch a galaxy of stars together in the same film. The trailer delivers exactly what one expected from Ghani. A job well done!
The film is cinematographed by George C Williams ISC and edited Marthand K Venkatesh, with Ravinder Reddy handling production design. aha has bagged the streaming rights of Ghani. Director Shankar's daughter Aditi Shankar is also making her singing debut with the film.
