Ghani starring Varun Tej gets new poster and release date

Varun Tej has had movie fans and the Telugu film industry buzzing after his impressive physical transformation for the sports drama Ghani. The movie, which is directed by Kiran Korrapati is now set to release on March 18, 2022.

The news about the new release date for Ghani was shared by the makers of the movie. Geetha Arts took to social media to announce the news and wrote on Twitter, “#Ghani is ready to pack the knock-out punch Boxing glove. Worldwide grand release in theaters on MARCH 18th 2022.”

The announcement post also came with a new poster for the movie, which packs a punch as Varun Tej is seen in the boxing ring, showing some bruises, in black and gold attire. The attire is complete with boxing gloves that have “Venum” written on them.

The movie was earlier slated to release on December 24, 2021, but was pushed back as the festival season saw the release of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and Ranvir Singh’s sports drama 83.

Produced by Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company, Ghani also stars Jagapathi Babu, Upendra, Suniel Shetty, Naveen Chandra and Nadhiya among others.

The movie has music from S Thaman, while George C. Williams and Marthand K Venkatesh are the cinematographer and editor respectively.

Varun Tej has been prepping and working on the movie for two years now, and impressed fans with his transformation. Ghani Anthem, which was released on October 27, was instrumental in showcasing Tej’s workout and physique in the movie and features the actor shedding blood, sweat and tears.
