Ghani: Allu Arjun will be the chief guest of the film's pre-release event in Vizag

Now that biggies like Radhe Shyam and RRR have finally released in theatres, there's some window for other films to plan their releases and make a mark among audiences. The first of the many mainstream films to release after RRR will be Varun Tej's sports drama Ghani on April 8. The actor plays the titular character of a boxer in the film through which Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter Saiee Manjrekar makes her debut as a female lead in Telugu cinema.

Ghani, directed by debutant Kiran Korrapati, has a terrific star cast featuring big names like Naveen Chandra, Naresh, Jagapathi Babu, Suneil Shetty, Nadhiya and Upendra. Ahead of its release in the next weekend, the makers are hosting a pre-release event in Vizag. The surprise news that'll bring a lot of joy to film buffs is the fact that Allu Arjun will be the chief guest of the event. Ghani's pre-release event will be held on April 2.

Allu Arjun's elder brother Allu Bobby makes his debut as a producer with Ghani in association with Sidhu Mudda. The film is being produced jointly under Allu Bobby Company and Renaissance Pictures. The entire film is set in the backdrop of Vizag and the pre-release event in the same city seems like an attempt to stay true to its ambience. George C Williams is the cinematographer for Ghani while Marthand K Venkatesh has edited the film. Ravinder Reddy is the production designer and S Thaman is the composer of the sports drama respectively.

aha has acquired the streaming rights of Ghani, in which director Shankar's daughter Aditi Shankar has crooned for a number titled Romeo Juliet. Tamannaah Bhatia will be making a special appearance for a fast-paced number Kodthe, whose video version, was launched recently.
