Anjali, who’s currently working on ZEE5’s web show Bahishkarana, an extended appearance in Vishwak Sen’s Gangs of Godavari, has also wrapped the shoot of another film today. She is all set to return with the sequel to the celebrated horror comedy Geethanjali titled Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi, directed by Shiva Turlapati. Kona Venkat has written the story, screenplay and produces the film.

The lead cast of Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi came together for the final day of shoot earlier this misty morning, where they’d filmed at an undisclosed location. Other names who’ll make their presence felt in the horror comedy include Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, Ali, Brahmaji, Ravi Shankar and Rahul Madhav. Praveen Lakkaraju scores the music.

“Done filming, but the horror's just begun. #GeethanjaliMalliVachindhi Coming soon to spook your spirits and tickle your funny bone,” the production house confirmed the news, where the cast and crew appear to be in a joyous mood. The film is produced under Kona Films Corporation in collaboration with MVV Cinemas (which bankrolled Geethanjali as well).

The first look of Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi received encouraging responses recently, with the cast, crew interacting with the media as well. The horror comedy is the 50th film in Anjali’s career. Anjali and the film team have been in talks about the sequel for several years, but it has taken many years for the makers to fine-tune the script.

Having seen the rushes, the team is reportedly very happy with the output and the climax is believed to be a major highlight of the film. Satya, Ali and Sunil are the newer additions to the sequel (who didn’t feature in the original). Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi offers a good mix of thrills, humour, emotions and will be aesthetically appealing too, the makers assure.
