Geetha Subramanyam, the popular web show to return for the third season on aha; here’s what we know

The relationship drama Geetha Subramanyam, which received immense popularity on Youtube, landed on aha after the launch of the streamer three years ago. The show returned for a second season on the OTT platform and went onto be among the most widely watched shows in the regional digital space. Now, Geetha Subramanyam is set to be renewed for a third season.

aha confirmed the news this week on Valentine’s day across their social media handles. “Preminche vidhaanam kotthadi avvachu, kaani prema eppudu ala ne untundi. Let's celebrate and spread love this valentine's day.. Wishing everyone a Happy valentine's day from the team #GeethaSubrahmanyam3 Coming Soon…,” they wrote while confirming the writer, cinematographer of the new season.

SivaSai Vardhan will continue to associate with show that’ll be produced by Tamada Media while Sreedhar KV cranks the camera. Manoj Krishna Tanneru, Darshini Sekhar, Indu Madhavi, Ravi Siva Teja Paila played the key roles in the first season of show. Ram Karthik, Nakshatra, Sunny Viva, and Deek Sunny formed the lead cast of aha’s earlier season Geetha Subramanyam 2020.

The director of the show was earlier associated several web series like Pelligola 2, ZEE5’s Hello World and ETV’s U & I in the past. Hello World was among the rare corporate dramas to have made it to the Telugu OTT space and received good reviews, viewership upon release last year. Given the love that Geetha Subramanyam received for its earlier seasons, SivaSai certainly has his task cut out this time.

Meanwhile, the streaming platform is premiering as many as three films this weekend including Lucky Lakshman, Kalyanam Kamaneeyam and Gaalodu. They earlier announced the second season of Telugu Indian Idol as well with Geetha Madhuri, Karthik and S Thaman as judges and singer Hemachandra as the host. They’re also coming up with a entrepreneurial show titled Nenu Super Woman shortly.
