Geetanjali Kulkarni has been working in Marathi as well as Hindi cinema for a long time now. The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her new web show, Lampan. Directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, the Marathi series will premiere on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium. The makers have confirmed May 16 as the release date of Lampan. Ahead of the premiere, Geetanjali Kulkarni revealed the show allowed her to revisit her childhood days.

Geetanjali Kulkarni was drawn towards the heartwarming tale of Nipun Dharmadhikari's series Lampan. For those who are unaware, it is a character from Prakash Narayan Sant's literary creation, Vanwas.
In an official statement, Geetanjali said the story of Lampan will evoke the audiences' nostalgic memories of childhood. "Despite playing a grandmother in the series, the story evoked strong emotions in me, allowing me to revisit my childhood repeatedly. It serves as a perfect time capsule, transporting every viewer back to their formative years, giving them the chance to relive that period once again," she said.
Apart from Geetanjali, the star cast of Lampan includes Mihir Godbole, Avni Bhavi, Chandrakant Kulkarni, Kadambari Kadam and Pushkraj Chirtputkar.
When and where to watch Lampan?
Lampan will be available for streaming on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium from May 16. The Marathi web series has been produced by Shrirang Godbole, Hrishikesh Deshpande, Amit Patwardhan and Chintamani Vartak.
The storyline of this web show is about a young boy living his childhood in a simpler era while he embarks on a quest for identity and belonging. As far as the music direction of Lampan is concerned, it has been done by Rahul Deshpande and Sarang Kulkarni. Amey Chavan has served as the DOP of the series while Vibhawari Deshpande is the creative producer.
