The actor talks about about his preparations for fatherhood and how he misses Ridhima while shooting outdoors.

On April 15 this year, actors Gaurav Chakrabarty and Ridhima Ghosh took to social media to announce that they were expecting their first child. While the Tollywood fraternity and their fans flooded their post with congratulatory notes, the actor and actress duo did not divulge much to the media. In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, Gaurav opened up about his preparations for fatherhood and how he misses Ridhima while shooting outdoors.
Parambrata and his team are shooting in Takdah, near Darjeeling. The venue has a feeble mobile network. As a result, Gaurav and Ridhima’s mobile conversations are constantly interrupted. “Ridhima is currently homebound. She is with her father now. I wished I was by her side. While there is a wifi connection, the network here is poor and our conversations are interrupted by it,” said Gaurav.
How is he feeling as they expect their first child? “I am elated. We have been planning for a child for a while and now it is happening. Both of us are very happy. My parents and her father were in tears of happiness when they got the news,” said the actor.
However, Gaurav is a little sad that while he has the liberty to walk around, Ridhima is currently homebound. “Takdah is a beautiful place. I wish she was here,” the actor added.
On Poila Boishakh, Ridhima and Gaurav posted a photo of themselves and wrote, “A grand adventure is about to begin… On this auspicious day of Poila Boishakh, we are so glad to let you know that we are expecting a baby! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.” Gaurav and Ridhima tied the knot on November 2017 after seven years of courtship. In Kaushik Ganguly’s 2011 film Rang Milanti, the duo first worked together. The couple has worked together on several occasions.
