Vishnu Vishal's next outing Gatta Kusthi is set for a theatrical release on December 2. The sports drama which has the actor playing a wrestler in it will be released in Telugu as well under the title Matti Kusthi. The movie has been bankrolled by Vishnu himself along with Tollywood star Ravi Teja under the banners of Vishnu Vishal Studioz and RT Teamworks respectively.

The makers have now officially confirmed that Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies has acquired its theatrical rights. The leading production house had bagged Vishnu's previous flick FIR, too, this year. According to trusted sources, Netflix has acquired the project's digital rights.

Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead in the movie which has Vishnu essaying dual roles for the first time. Richard Prabhakaran has handled cinematography while Prasanna GK has helmed editing. Justin Prabhakaran has composed songs for the film which has action choreography by Anbariv.

The sequences helmed by the stunt director duo are expected to be the prime highlight of Gatta Kusthi. The teaser and other promo videos of the movie are likely to be unveiled in the coming days. The project, which went on floors earlier this year, was completed a few months ago.

Murali Karthick's slasher flick Mohandas and Seenu Ramasamy's long-delayed project Idam Porul Yaeval are Vishnu's upcoming projects. The former which was completed a while ago is expected to hit the screens in 2023, while the latter which has been lying in the cans is likely to be revived.

The actor was also recently roped in to play one of the leads in Lal Salaam which has Aishwarya Rajinikanth at its helm. None other than Superstar Rajinikanth will be playing a cameo in the movie which is based on cricket.
