Garudan on OTT: Soori's movie is eagerly awaited on Amazon Prime Video | Here's why

Garudan is a recently released Tamil film starring actor Soori in the lead role, along with actors M Sasikimar and Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan in pivotal roles. While the film got a good reception upon its release, it is set to make its streaming debut soon on Prime Video.

After a positive reception during its theatrical release, Soori-starrer Garudan is all set to stream on Prime Video soon. The film will be available to be streamed starting June 28. One of the reasons Garudan is much-anticipated for its streaming debut is because of Soori’s performance. In fact, it is also one of the reasons why Garudan became a success as well.

Soori, who began his career as a comedian, soon turned out to be delight as an actor after he started to take on lead roles. Thanks to Vetrimaaran, who cast Soori in his maiden lead role with Viduthalai, the actor’s potential grew, which also resulted in Garudan. The rural action drama is directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, who has previously helmed films like Kodi and Ethir Neechal.

One of the other reasons why Garudan's OTT release is so eagerly awaited is its intricate storyline. The film is set against the backdrop of a village named Kombai in the Theni district of Tamil Nadu. It revolves around the constant tussle between the rich and the poor. Soori plays the role of Sokkan, an ardent loyalist to his master, Karunakaran, aka Karuna, played by Unni Mukundan. Sasikumar, on the other hand, plays the role of Aadithya, aka Aadhi. The movie majorly narrates how the dynamics between the trio shift after the minister aims to grab the land that belongs to a temple.

Actors Revathi Sharma, Sshivada, Roshini Haripriyan, Samuthirakani, Mime Gopi, R.V. Udayakumar, Vadivukkarasi, Dushyanth, Rajendran, Brigida, and others played the supporting roles in Garudan. Arthur A Wilson. Isc is the director of photography. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music. Pradeep E Ragav handled the editing and G. Durairaj handled the art direction.
