Filmmaker-actor Sundar C and comedian Vadivelu have worked in number of films, which have proven to be a laughter riot. The successful duo has given hilarious films like Winner, London and Thalainagaram. They had appeared last in the 2010 film Nagaram Marupakkam. Now, after 14 years since the release, Sundar C and Vadivelu are once again set to team up for a film titled Gangers.

Vadivelu, who was last seen in Chandramukhi 2, is all set to feature again in a comic avatar, as the veteran comedian will be pairing up with director and actor Sundar C for a film. The announcement was made on Thursday. Titled Gangers, the first-look poster featured the celebrated duo and was released on the occasion of Vadivelu’s birthday.

The film's plot and cast details have been kept under wraps for now. However, it looks like a fun-filled film, which will also have actor Catherine Tresa playing the female lead. Gangers will be directed by Sundar C himself and produced by Benzz Media Pvt Ltd. Khushbu will be presenting the film under Avni Cinemax banner. A release date for Gangers is yet to be announced.

It is to be noted that Sundar C and Vadivelu go a long time back. The duo has worked in films like Winner, London and Thalainagaram, in which the comical portions are still celebrated.

Vadivelu, who is celebrating his birthday on Thursday (September 12), was last seen in Chandramukhi 2, co-starring Raghava Lawrence. The film is available on Netflix for streaming. The comedian was also seen in director Mari Selvaraj’s film Maamannan, in which he played a poignant role as an oppressed politician. Vadivelu’s performance as the titular character garnered much appreciation from the critics. Vadivelu will also be featuring in the upcoming film Maaresan which will also star Fahadh Faasil.
