Gandeevadhari Arjuna on OTT: When and where to watch Varun Tej’s thriller after its theatrical run

Varun Tej, who was last seen in an out-and-out comedy entertainer F3 last year, underwent a complete transformation for his fit avatar in Gandeevadhari Arjuna, the action thriller which hit screens today. Sakshi Vaidya played the female lead in the film also starring Nasser, Vimala Raman, Narain, Manish Chaudhari and others in key roles. The film is directed by Praveen Sattaru.

Gandeevadhaari Arjuna is produced by Bvsn Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. The film opened to mixed responses from viewers and critics. Leading streamer Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the same while Goldmines bagged the Hindi rights of the film. The thriller is expected to arrive in a month’s time, in the second half of December.

The story commences when we realise that the life of an Indian politician, Aditya Raj Bahadur (Nasser), is in danger as he plans to attend a UN summit on climate change. While his security officer Vijay is injured in an unexpected attack, he ropes in a junior Arjun Varma (Varun Tej) who has a past with Aira (Sakshi Vaidya), the PA of the politician. Arjun, beyond dealing with his ex, is traumatised by his mother’s declining health. Where’s the tale headed?

“Gandeevadhari Arjuna is easily Praveen Sattaru’s most ambitious work but his weakest as a stroyteller too. The lead actors Varun Tej, Sakshi Vaidya, Nasser chip in with credible performances. On the technical front, it boasts appealing cinematography and an impactful background score,” OTTplay.com's critic wrote about the film today.

Vinay Rai, Roshini Prakash, Abhinav Gomatam, Ravi Varma, Kalpalatha, Baby Veda form the supporting cast. While Praveen Sattaru wrote the story, actor Abhijeeth Poondla helped the filmmaker with the dialogues and the additional screenplay. Mickey J Meyer scored the music for the same and Mukesh G cranked the camera. Dharmendra Kakarala is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer respectively.
