Sakshi Vaidya, the model-turned-actress, made a confident debut with Surender Reddy-Akhil Akkineni’s action thriller Agent that released earlier this year. She’s already awaiting the release of another high-profile film Gandeevadhari Arjun, that’s set to hit screens on August 25. She shares screenspace alongside Varun Tej in the slick thriller directed by Praveen Sattaru and produced by Bvsn Prasad.
That’s not all. A couple of weeks before the release of her sophomore film, she’ll have another interesting project. She’s all set to star in her first-ever music video with one of the country’s biggest musicians, rapper Badshah. The latter, behind numbers like Paani Paani, DJ Waale Babu, Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, Genda Phool and Garmi, plans to launch the song on August 8.
For the uninitiated, Badshah has the credit of launching several promising talents with his music videos including Akanksha Sharma, Lauren Gottlieb, Warina Hussain and Nora Fatehi. Sakshi Vaidya, who’s looking to progress with every project in the initial phase of her career, couldn’t have asked for anything better. Badshah’s songs have garnered a minimum of a million views on Youtube to date.
As per sources, Badshah promises to bring a new spin to the soundscape that he’s loved for and has made a track that’s relevant and catchy for the times. While it has been some time since the musician has produced songs in the genre he’s conventionally known for, he hopes to deliver an instant charmer of a number that’ll reassert his dominance in the music industry.
Over the recent weeks, the 39-year-old musician has dropped consistent updates about the track on his social media handles. “The new track will comprise bangers and beats that’ll revive his legacy in the hip hop and pop music arena,” the source adds. Sakshi Vaidya has also been roped in for a Sai Dharam Tej starrer to be produced by Bvsn Prasad. She’s in talks for several other plum projects.
