"I belong to the land of Nizamabad and am extremely proud of my culture. Why would I ever degrade my homeland? To those who feel insulted by my words, I sincerely apologize. But I request people not to drag me into politics," he said in his statement.
Dil Raju has been in the news for multiple reasons recently. He was appointed president of the Telangana Film Chamber by the Congress government and played a key role in resolving the Allu Arjun stampede issue that escalated during a recent event.
