Game Changer director Shankar calls SS Rajamouli 'pride' of Indian cinema, says ‘he made even Hollywood..’

Director Shankar, who is awaiting the release of his film Game Changer starring Ram Charan in the lead role, showered praises on director SS Rajamouli who graced the trailer launch event that was held recently. While the directors exchanged words of admiration for each other, Shankar said how it was Rajamouli who made Hollywood turn and look at Indian cinema.

Shankar: SS Rajamouli is pride of Indian cinema

The Game Changer trailer launch event took place recently in Hyderabad, where the cast and crew were in attendance. Headlined by Ram Charan, the film is helmed by veteran filmmaker Shankar. SS Rajamouli, who made RRR with Ram Charan, also graced the occasion.

Speaking of SS Rajamouli, Shankar said, “All of us look up to Hollywood and admire the way they make films, but it was SS Rajamouli garu who made Hollywood turn and look at Indian cinema, and how a film is to be made. He is the pride of Indian cinema and I am honoured to have my film's trailer launched by him.”

SS Rajamouli too had some kind words to say about Shankar and mentioned how the latter is the "OG" of making entertainment for the big screen, and that he is proud of Shankar.

Game Changer release date

Game Changer is an upcoming political action drama which is slated to release in theatres on January 10 for Sankranthi. The film stars Kiara Advani as the female lead, along with a cast comprising SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Anjali, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, Sunil, Nassar, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Praveena, Naveen Chandra, Murali Sharma, and others.

S Thaman has composed the songs and original score for the film. It is produced by Dil Raju, Shirish and ZEE Studios. With S Thirunavukkarasu cranking the camera, the edits are handled by Shameer Muhammed, and Antony Ruben. Director Karthik Subbaraj has given the storyline.
