Gaganachari, the sci-fi mockumentary film directed by Arun Chandu, emerged as one of the most-loved projects from Malayalam cinema in 2024. Despite releasing without major hype, the movie, which stars Anarkali Marikkar, Gokul Suresh, Ganesh Kumar, and Aju Varghese in the lead roles, emerged as a major success. Gaganachari recently had its OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. However, the movie is now set to start streaming on Manorama Max, very soon.
As per the latest updates, Gaganachari is all set to have its streaming debut on the popular OTT platform Manorama Max, very soon. If the reports are to be believed, the Arun Chandu directorial will have its debut on the platform, by the first weekend of December 2024. In that case, the audiences can also watch the sci-fi mockumentary film on the OTT Play platform, on the same date. The makers are expected to officially announce Gaganachari’s Manorama Max release date, very soon.
The sci-fi mockumentary film is set in the dystopian future of Kerala. Three bachelors live in an apocalypse bunker, and their routine is disrupted when an extraterrestrial female fugitive from a distant planet arrives unexpectedly. Her arrival turned their lives upside down. Gaganachari depicts and explores the themes of bias, love, superstition, and the unknown, with a touch of humour. Anarkali Marikar played the alien in the film, which features Ganesh Kumar, Gokul Suresh, and Aju Varghese, as the three bachelors.

Along with the lead actors, Gaganachari features a major star cast including John Kaippallil, Anand BS, Anantha Raman, and others in the pivotal roles. Gaganachari is jointly scripted by Siva Sai and director Arun Chandu, himself. Surjith S. Pai is the director of photography. Sankar Sharma composed the songs and the original score. Aravind Manmadhan handled the editing. The highly acclaimed film is jointly produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films and Krishand Films.
