Gadar 2 trailer: Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel continue their prem katha as Tara Singh and Sakina

After the long wait, Zee Studios have finally released the most awaited trailer of the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar 2’. The focus of the trailer is, as expected … Sunny Deol, Sunny Deol and Sunny Deol. And, Sunny paaji just does not disappoint even a bit as the trailer portrays the awe-inspiring continuation of Tara Singh and Sakeena's legacy, set amidst the tumultuous ‘Crush India Movement’ of 1971.

The film’s trailer starts off with the character of Gaurav Chopra (a top-rung army personnel) telling Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) that, there are chances of war and that’s why he wants to build a backup. This is followed by Sunny paaji telling the henchmen that they do not know who Tara Singh is and that they should ask eth enemies about ‘Tara Singh’. The trailer then, lands straight from the ‘maar-dhaad’ to the pure and innocent romance between Sakina (Ameesha Patel) and Tara Singh.

After this, the trailer manages to press the nostalgia button for millions of cinegoers as it [presents the iconic song of all times ‘Main nikla gaddi leke’. This time round, the song has been picturised on Sunny Deol and his onscreen son Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma). Speaking of Charanjeet, the trailer then shows him in Pakistan where the army general is seen asking about his last wish. To which, a super confident Charanjeet says that, he is simply waiting for his father Tara Singh top enter Pakistan, because the very moment he enters the soil of Pakistan, all the evil men would be destroyed.

This then, paves the way for the most ‘smashing’ entry of Tara Singh in the soil of Pakistan. Thereafter ensues a single-handed fight between Tara Singh and the henchmen of the antagonist. Post which, there is a heated exchange of words between Tara Singh and the antagonist (Manish Wadhwa). Then, Tara Singh’s one-man army raw power gets unleashed on the antagonist’s henchmen. The gripping trailer ends with Tara Singh seeing a hand pump! What happens after that and will history repeat itself is something that one will get to know when the film releases on August 11 this year.

Besides Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, ‘Gadar 2’ also stars Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, Manish Wadhwa, and Gaurav Chopra in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Zee Studios, Anil Sharma Productions and M M Moviez.
