Today marks a lucky day for the fans of the Mad Max franchise as the day has finally arrived when the official trailer of the Fury-Road prequel of the popular franchise hit the screens. The action-packed trailer ignited the excitement in the loyal fans and followers waiting for the new film.
Furiosa trailer narrates the wasteland tale
Directed by George Miller, Furiosa reveals the young version of the character previously nailed by Charlize Theron.
The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy plays the fearless and young commander-in-chief intensely. Other notable characters are played by Hollywood legendary actors, Chris Hemsworth, Nathan Jones, Tom Burke, Quaden Bayles, and Angus Sampson.
Warner Bros and Village Roadshow Pictures present the prequel, set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, 45 years after the collapse. In the 2:27 minutes trailer, the story embarks when a young Furiosa gets separated from her family, and she is determined to be reunited with them. Chris Hemsworth turns wild in the role of warlord Dementus.
“As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and into the hands of a Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. While two Tyrants war for dominance over the Citadel, Furiosa survives many trials as she plots a way back home through the Wasteland,” read the official logline.
The studio house also shared the poster on social media for the movie to be released theatrically next year on May 24.
Fury Road franchise
Fury Road, which was released in 2015, was a commercial hit and a critically acclaimed film with multiple Oscar wins. Starring Charlize Theron as the adult version of Furiosa, surviving and battling the evil warlord, alongside Tom Hardy in the role of Mad Max.
