Fubar, the 2023 spy thriller action comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead as a CIA operative, did not receive positive reviews when it came out, and yet, within days of the 8-episode first season dropping on a streaming platform, it was renewed for a second, which has now got a release date. Created by Nick Santora, Fubar, which debuted on Netflix in May 2023, will return with the second season two years later.
On April 3, Netflix announced that Season 2 of Fubar will drop on the platform on June 12, 2025. All 8 episodes of Season 2 will be available then. While season 1 of Fubar was about Schwarzenegger’s Luke Brunner realizing that his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) is also a spy like him and then being thrown together to work on dangerous missions, Season 2 will introduce Carrie-Ann Moss in the mix, as Greta Nelson, a former East German spy, who so happens to be Luke’s ex.

Schwarzenegger has been quoted as saying that Season 2 will be bigger and better, especially with the laughs, and given that one of the biggest complaints audiences had about Season 1 being that the jokes were largely flat, this would be an important upgrade for the new episodes. The cast members have spoken about Season 2 having a lot of explosive action as well.
Returning cast members from Season 1 include Travis Van Winkle as Aldon, Fortune Feimster as Roo, Milan Carter as Barry, Scott Thompson as Dr. Pfeffer, Fabiana Udenio as Tally, Andy Buckley as Donnie, Jay Baruchel as Carter, Adam Pally as The Great Dane, Tom Arnold as Norm, Aparna Brielle as Tina, and Barbara Eve Harris as Dot.
According to an official note from streamer Netflix, Fubar season 2 will be about the Brunner family and their team dealing with the shady analyst Tina, among others.
