Shayan Munshi, Soha Ali Khan, and Abhay Deol are the leads in the 2006 romantic film Ahista Ahista. Fyodor Dostoevsky's 1848 short novel White Nights served as the inspiration for both this film and an earlier Raj Kapoor film, Chhalia. With this adaptation, director Shivam Nair made his directing debut. Earlier, Nair and Imtiaz Ali co-directed Witness for Star Bestsellers, a telefilm with the same plot.

Abhay Deol, a professional witness from the marriage registrar's office, rescues the bride (Soha Ali Khan) when her intended (Shayan Munshi) fails to show up for the wedding. By the time they track him down, despite his disappearance, he falls deeply in love with her.

Cocktail - JioCinema

The 2012 romantic comedy Cocktail was produced by Eros International, Illuminati Films, Maddock Films, Saif Ali Khan, and Dinesh Vijan. Imtiaz Ali and Sajid Ali wrote the film, directed by Homi Adajania. Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty (making her acting debut), and Saif Ali Khan are the leads.

An unstoppable wooer, Gautam (Saif Ali Khan), pursues the attention of every female he sees. Diana Penty portrays Meera, a stunning young woman from Delhi who, in search of a fresh start, journeys to London, adorned in traditional Desi attire. The spoiled beauty who loves to drink and party is Veronica (Deepak Padukone). Despite their stark differences, these three make the perfect housemates, staying close until their relationship unravels and their love becomes entangled.

Laila Majnu - ZEE5 (OTTplay Premium)

Cinema allows some love stories to live on in perpetuity through adaptations and remakes. Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor bring the legendary love story of Laila Majnu to life in the film of the same name. Ali draws inspiration for the story from the timeless folklore of Laila Majnu and writes it in a modern, reimagined style.

In the present day, Laila (Triptii Dimri) and Qais, aka Majnu (Avinash Tiwary), face obstacles that young people today really face. In spite of their families' animosity, they fall in love in the magical setting of Kashmir, and the rest is history in their passionate, modern love story.

She - Netflix

Divya Johry and Imtiaz Ali conceived of and developed the crime drama TV show She. Window Seat Films produces the series, directed by Arif Ali and Avinash Das, and stars Aaditi Pohankar, Vijay Varma, and Kishore.

In She, the heroic heroine is a lowly female police officer in India who teams up with the Anti-Narcotics Group to take on a notorious drug lord. Bhumika (Aaditi Pohankar), in order to complete the assignment, assumes the identity of a Mumbai prostitute. Meanwhile, Bhumika finds herself at home, battling her intoxicated husband while simultaneously attempting to finalise their divorce. Her mother is sick, and her sister is away at college, so she has to make ends meet on her own. The series illustrates the concept that a woman's body is capable of exerting effective influence over her environment.

As she relives the experiences, Bhumika (or Bhumi) is preoccupied with her own ideas. Bhumi assists in capturing Sasya (Vijay Varma), who consents to work with the police and become an informant, but only if Bhumi instructs him to do so.

Dr. Arora - SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium)

Imtiaz Ali created the empirical medical drama Dr. Arora: Gupt Rog Visheshagya, in which Kumud Mishra plays the lead role. The SonyLIV show heavily features Pitobash Tripathy, Sandeepa Dhar, and Raj Arjun.

In 1999, sexologist Dr. Arora ran evening clinics in Jhansi, Morena, and Sawai Madhopur, where he treated people's private issues. Arora still struggles with the effects of his previous marriage, even though famous people secretly seek his help. Because his job is so unusual in his hometown, he often has chance meetings that cause tensions to flare up and friendships to blossom when none seemed possible.
