Karan Johar, the man behind some of the most beloved and enduring romantic comedies of all time, has a fresh take on the traditional love story just in time for Valentine's Day! The filmmaker celebrates love in all its forms in a fun and funny video, using his films such as "Pyaar Dosti Hai" and "Gaana, Glycerine, and a Group Hug"—what he calls "the three G's in K3G"—to explain how love conquers all obstacles.
KJo discusses real-life love tales in his new documentary series Love Storiyaan, saying, "Asal zindagi mein pyaar ko ladna padta hai against hatred, prejudice, and fear," and adding that he finds hope in their journeys of discovering love. Love Storiyaan, an upcoming original series on Prime Video, is a six-part biopic of real-life love stories that explore themes of love, optimism, joy, and overcoming adversity. Akshay Indikar, Archana Phadke, Collin D'Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Shazia Iqbal, and Vivek Soni are the six directors that bring their own perspectives to Love Storiyaan, which was conceptualised by Somen Mishra.

Earlier, while talking about the series, Karan said in a statement, "Love Storiyaan is more than just a faithful retelling of real-life love stories. The series looks at love in all its forms, painting a beautiful picture of connections that go beyond the ordinary. Over the years as a filmmaker and producer, I have had the privilege of telling several love stories that have defined the genre for Indian cinema; however, what struck me about India Love Project, who helped us curate these stories, was the rawness and uniqueness of each of them."
The filmmaker further said, "These are stories of real people, from different backgrounds, who faced colossal roadblocks in their journey of finding true love, showed tenacity, and persevered by powering through the barriers of culture, faith, gender, or even war. This is our first foray into bringing real stories of real people to audiences, and I am delighted that through Prime Video, whom we share a long-term association with, this series will be able to reach audiences far and wide, within India and across the world."
Dharmatic Entertainment, led by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, produced the show. Somen Mishra wrote the show, which is based on true stories selected in partnership with the India Love Project. Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman are journalists who founded the online community known as the India Love Project. This Valentine's Day, on February 14, Love Storiyaan will debut exclusively on Prime Video.
