At this point in 2023, we are halfway through the year, and the year has already been an incredible one for cinephiles, with amazing releases. The releases this month will enrich the watching experiences of audiences with excellent releases across a variety of genres, including legendary filmmakers and exceptional actors. These releases are scheduled to begin in the second half of July 2023. The upcoming movies include ones by Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer, and Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Additionally, Tom Cruise will be appearing in the seventh instalment of the Mission: Impossible film series, while Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie will be starring in the film Barbie.

The following is a list of the best new releases that have been made available to watch during the current month.

Oppenheimer - July 21

Several well-known actors, including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, and Rami Malek, appear in Christopher Nolan's film Oppenheimer, which has a dream cast. The movie will be released on July 21, 2023, and it is based on the collaboration between the physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and a group of other scientists working on the Manhattan Project, which resulted in the creation of the atomic bomb.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One - July 12

Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt in the seventh installment of the Mission: Impossible film franchise. In this installment, Hunt and the rest of the IMF team are tasked with locating a deadly new weapon that poses a threat to the entire human race if it falls into the wrong hands. A lethal competition taking place all across the planet has started because the outcome of the world and control of its destiny are at risk. When Ethan is confronted by an unknown and all-powerful foe, he is forced to face the possibility that the mission is more important than everything else, not even the lives of the people he cares about the most.

Barbie - July 21

The film Barbie is scheduled to hit theatres on July 21, 2023, and it stars Ryan Reynolds and Margot Robbie. The plot of the movie centres on Barbie and Ken, who are living their best lives in the vibrant and seemingly beautiful realm of Barbie Land. However, once they get the opportunity to go out into the real world, they quickly learn both the benefits and the risks of interacting with humans daily.

Rocky Aur Ranii Ki Prem Kahaani - July 28

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marks Karan Johar's comeback to the big screen, following the recent completion of his 25th year working in the film industry. The movie is a love family drama that showcases the Dharma lineage, and it stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan, amongst a number of other well-known actors and actresses. See it when it hits theatres on July 28!

The Haunted Mansion - July 28

The film Haunted Mansion, which stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Owen Wilson, and Jared Leto, amongst others, has the potential to be Disney's most star-studded production to date. A mother and her son are the protagonists of the movie, and it follows their journey as they invite a motley collection of self-proclaimed spiritual experts into their home to assist them in removing supernatural squatters.

Insidious: The Red Door - July 7

Insidious: The Red Door is the title of the fifth installment in the Insidious film franchise, which also features Patrick Wilson and Ty Simpkins, amongst other actors. The main character, Josh Lambert, is seen travelling to the east to deliver his son, Dalton, to his new school. Nevertheless, Dalton's collegiate dream quickly turns into a living nightmare when the repressed demons from his past unexpectedly return to torment both of them.

Past Lives - July 7

Celine Song, making her directorial debut with the highly anticipated love drama Past Lives, helmed the project. Greta Lee and Teo Yoo play the lead parts in the movie, which tells the narrative of Nora and Hae Sung, two close childhood friends who become estranged from one another after Nora's family moves from South Korea to the United States. The film stars Greta Lee and Teo Yoo. Decades later, they run into one another for one week, during which they must face destiny, love, and the decisions that determine the course of a life.

Neeyat - July 7

Vidya Balan, Ram Kapoor, and Rahul Bose give notable performances in the Anu Menon-directed movie Neeyat. The movie is a suspenseful murder mystery, and its plot revolves around an unsolved homicide that occurs at the birthday retreat of an exiled billionaire named Ashish Kapoor. Due to the fact that the suspects are Kapoor's close family and friends, Detective Mira Rao will need to utilise all of her skills in order to decipher their cunning motivations.
