From Mirzapur 3, The Family Man 3 to Panchayat 3 and more, here are the 10 Hindi web series to look forward in 2024

With just a few days left for the year 2023 to come to an end, the entire world is eagerly looking forward to embracing a brand-New Year in the form of 2024. The advent of the New Year also brings with it lots of hope, confidence and smile. Besides that, as far as entertainment is concerned, it also brings with it, a truck load of new shows. Today, let's have a look at the ten Hindi web series that one can look forward to in the year 2024!

Mirzapur Season 3
It all started off on 16 November 2018, when the audiences were treated to a hard-hitting story of a millionaire carpet exporter named Akhandanand Tripathi (Pankaj Tripathi) who also happens to be the undisputed mafia don in Mirzapur. On the other hand, his son Munna (Divyendu Sharma) happens to be a power-hungry heir who will not think twice in order to inherit his father's legacy.

Thereafter starts the struggle for power, money and politics (in random order, that is). Buoyed by the super success of the first part, the show’s makers went ahead with the second season as well. This again, proved to be a great hit with the audiences. All the eyes are now trained on Mirzapur Season 3. There is a strong buzz that this season may just see the inclusion of a new star. If at all this turns out to be true, we really wonder as to who this ‘star’ will be!

If the buzz is to be believed, then, the Gurmmeet Singh, Anand Iyer directed series ‘Mirzapur 3’ will be premiered on the last week of March 2024, on Amazon Prime Video.

The Family Man 3
Just like Mirzapur, The Family Man will also see its much awaited third season in the year 2024. Although the first season of the series was released on 20 September 2019, the audiences still are not able to get over it! The impact of The Family Man was so strong that its lead characters became the subject of conversation all over.

For the ‘still-unversed’, The Family Man was about the life and lifestyle of Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee), who, by profession, is a senior officer in TASC (Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell), which happens to be a fictional branch of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Srikant Tiwari works closely with his best friend cum colleague Jayavant Kashinath Talpade aka JK (Sharib Hashmi). Life offers a new challenge to them when they get to know about potential terrorist attacks.

This was followed by the second season of the most talked about The Family Man, which was released on June 4, 2021 (Amazon Prime Video). After the superlative success of the show’s first and the second season, everyone (both, the audiences as well as many celebs) are eagerly awaiting for the third season of the show, which is expected to be released during the last week of March 2024.

Panchayat (Season 3)
While the first season of Panchayat was released on 3 April 2020, it went onto become one of the most talked about series in the OTT space. The impact of the eight-part series was so superlative, that it even went on to win many awards! The show’s makers, buoyed by the super success of the series, went on to make the second season of the show, which was released on May 18, 2022.

For the uninitiated, the basic crux of Panchayat is about the roller coaster experiences of an engineering graduate Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar) from an urban college. No sooner does he earns his graduation degree. He gets a low-salary paying job as a secretary of a Gram Panchayat in an extremely remote village called Phulera, which is in Uttar Pradesh

One has to admit that Panchayat was definitely one of the sleeper hits of the season. The show went on to receive not just oodles of the audiences’’ love, but also many awards, which has now encouraged the show’s makers to come up with the much awaited third season of the show. As for the show’s release date, even though the exact release date has not yet been announced, it is expected to be release in March 2024 on Amazon Prime Video.

When the show’s makers dropped the third season’s first look of Jitendra Kumar’s Sachiv on a bike, many were curious if this hinted at his transfer!

Aashram (Season 4)
Let’s face it. When Ashram 1 was released (28 August 2020), not many could digest the fact that a suave actor like Bobby Deol can actually not just say yes to a character like the godman Baba Nirala, who has, to his, credit of having a major chunk of his followers from the society’s disadvantaged sections. Did Bobby impress? Boy oh boy! He simply swept the audiences off their feet and the floors with his superlatively stellar performance!

After the great success of Aashram 1, the show’s makers went on to make the second and third season of the show. The success of these two seasons can be gauged by the immense love and appreciation showered on almost every actor in the show.

And with Bobby Deol riding sky-high after the rocking performance in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’, the show’s makers are definitely on a goldmine with the forthcoming fourth season of the series, which is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2024 on MXPlayer

Indian Police Force
Till now, Rohit Shetty was only (majorly) making films based on the police department as its central theme. Testimonials to this stand in the form of films like Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi… the list is almost endless. The latest in this series is the much-talked about Singham Again, which will be released in the year 2024. Rohit Shetty, being the master of multitasking, is also ready with his OTT series Indian Police Force.

Indian Police Force stars Sidharth Malhotra along with Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Vivek Oberoi. Only recently, Prime Video took to social media and announce the release date of the show. They captioned the post stating "Fasten your seat belts; the force is rolling in tomorrow! #IndianPoliceForceOnPrime, Jan 19”.

Killer Soup
Let’s move over to one original content that one will get to see in the New Year 2024. There’s the Konkona Sensharma starrer series titled ‘Soup’. The basic crux of the entire series is loosely based on a real-life incident. The series follows the life of Swathi Shetty (Konkona Sensharma), who happens to be an inept cook. 

Despite that, she doesn’t let it handicap her from dreaming of having her own restaurant one day. But, as luck would have it, her husband Prabhakar (Manoj Bajpayee) just won't help her at all as she is extremely doubtful of her aspirations. One day, opportunity (of a lifetime) knocks at Swathi’s door. Not the one to leave anything to chance, Swathi lands up ‘cooking’ a masterplan. But not every master plan has always succeeded. The roadblocks and the uphill tasks that she has to encounter while executing her master plan is what forms the rest of the thriller series!

Besides Konkona Sensharma and Manoj Bajpayee, the series also stars the veteran actors Nasar and Sayaji Shinde. It will be premiered on January 11, 2024 on Netflix. 

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein (season 2)
The New Year of last year 2022 gifted everyone with the first season of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, as it got released on 14 January. The release date for the show’s second season, however has not yet been announced. The USP of the first part of the series is that it has ranked at the prestigious sixth position in the globally top ten shows on TV and in eleven countries. Seeing this kind of amazing response, Netflix (the OTT platform on which the show is being aired) went ahead and greenlit the second season in mere less than three weeks of the first season’s release!

The series boasts of some of the stellar names in the business, which includes Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Anchal Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Arunoday Singh, Brijendra Kala and others. The release date of the second season of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is yet to be announced. It will be streaming on Netflix. 

Call Me Bae
This is definitely one of the most awaited shows on the OTT space. And, there are many reasons for the same. Firstly, the series has been publicised by none other than Varun Dhawan… sirf nam hi kaafi hai! The teaser and the trailer of the show has definitely upped the curiosity quotient amongst the audiences. Added to that is Ananya Panday, like never before.

For the unversed, the show ‘Call Me Bae’ sees Ananya Panday play the role of a multi billionaire fashionista whose filthy rich family disowns her after she gets into trouble for inapt behaviour. Besides Ananya Panday, the series also features Vir Das and Gurfateh Pirzada in important roles. The release date, however, of the series is still kept under the wraps. But, as per unconfirmed reports, the show will hit the airwaves in the first quarter of 2024. It will be streaming on Amazon Prime. 

Karmma Calling
After impressing everyone alike with her OTT series Aranyak (Netflix), Raveena Tandon is back with yet another hard-hitting show on the OTT space (on Disney Plus Hotstar). No sooner did Disney Plus Hotstar launched the promo of ‘Karmma Calling’, the audiences just could not stop raving about its protagonist Indrani Kothari (Raveena Tandon), who will be seen as an extremely headstrong lady. The series is an adaptation of the American TV series Revenge, which had been inspired by Alexandre Dumas' 1844 novel The Count of Monte Cristo.

The riveting promo started off with Raveena Tandon’s voiceover that states, ‘There are no rules for success. There are no right and wrong. To hell with your principles and your near and dear ones….” These words were good enough for the audience to add this show as one of the most eagerly anticipated shows of the year 2024. Karmma Calling will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from January 26, 2024.

Cubicles – Season 3
For all those who are in corporate job, they will surely find their resonance with his series. For the ‘non-corporate’ and the unversed, the very term ‘Cubicle’ means a space allotted to a particular employee in an office. When the first season of the said series got premiered (10 December 2019), it immediately found its audience in the office going crowd, as they could identify a lot with the situations and the circumstances as shown.

In a nutshell, the plot of the series ‘Cubicles’ mirrors around a typical job seeking Piyush, whose life changes totally when he enters the IT sector. There comes many firsts in this job, which includes his first salary, weekend office, office politics and many similar stuff. Inspired by the success of the first season, the show’s makers went ahead and announced its second season (which was premiered on January 7 last year). This too, met with decent success amongst the audiences.

The makers of the show, today, announced the much-awaited trailer and also the release date of third season of the series which primarily stars Abhishek Chauhan (in top form), Nidhi Bisht, Ayushi Gupta, Badri Chavan and Shivankit Singh Parihar. Be ready to tune into SonyLIV on January 5, 2024 to catch up the third season of ‘Cubicles’.
