Courteney Cox is the most recent celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And what's this? At the award presentation, "Friends" were reunited. Jenifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow from Friends, as well as the actor's close friends, attended the event. According to Variety, Jennifer and Lisa both made moving speeches for Courteney.
Jennifer began her speech by thanking her coworkers, friends, and family, especially her sisters, for giving her the chance to speak on her behalf. And since they have known Courteney for a very long time, it has happened.
Lisa went on to say that when they first met, almost 30 years ago, it was that way, until Aniston cut her off, saying that it was not 30 years ago. Before Jennifer proceeded, there was a lot of laughter in the room.
She went on to say that being close friends with Courteney equates to being her family. She is in charge of everything. When they first met her, she struck them as welcoming, friendly, loving, and really curious about everything about them.
For Courteney, receiving the Walk of Fame star was also a little stressful. For the actor, public speaking is the toughest thing to do. She frequently chooses not to present things because her heart rate makes it almost impossible.
The actor also told Variety, "The place I am in right now is the happiest I’ve ever been. There are a lot of things that are not great about getting older, but there are a lot of great things, one of which is being in a place where I love working. I try harder now at things. I care more. I love directing. I love acting. I love producing."
Along with Jennifer as Rachel Greene and Lisa as Phoebe, Courteney played Monica Geller in the 1994–2004 sitcom Friends, which ran for ten seasons.
