After five years of release, the Malayalam film Virus is now complete. The film was a commercial and critical success, winning accolades for its authentic depiction of actual events that had previously made Malayalis tremble in fear.
Aashiq Abu is the director of the 2019 movie. Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal produced the film, which Rajeev Ravi oversaw in terms of camera work. The music for Virus was composed by Sushin Shyam.

The ensemble cast of Virus includes Rahman, Rima Kallingal, Sharaf U Dheen, Indrans, Sreenath Bhasi, Joju George, Soubin Shahir, Darshana Rajendran, Lukman Avaran, Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, Revathi, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Poornima Indrajith. Even though they had less time on screen, each actor performed admirably. The film's creators did a fantastic job of skillfully assembling a number of young talents.

The film received high appreciation for its pace, intensity, and humanity-in-adversity theme; it was even listed among The Hindu's top 25 Malayalam films of the decade. It won awards from the CPC Cine Awards, Vanitha Film Awards, and Asianet Film Awards, and it was one of the Malayalam films released in 2019 that garnered a high collection at the box office.
