The much-awaited Young Sheldon Season 7 is dropping this month and fans can no longer keep calm as they have been acutely missing the adorable, flawed, yet inspiring Cooper family’s antics. Season 7 will premiere February 15, 2024, onward, on CBS, and stream on Paramount+ the next day. Indian viewers can hope to see the episodes on Prime Video, though no official announcement has been made. Here are the top 5 reasons the final season of Young Sheldon cannot be missed.

Young Sheldon Season 7 will have to address Missy’s future and untapped potential

The last season of the beloved CBS prequel will have to address Missy Cooper’s transition from a rebellious teen to a strong, assertive and confident woman. However, as we saw in The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, Missy has always been sidelined with her brilliant twin prioritized over her. This season, with Sheldon in Germany for a prestigious summer program, Missy might finally get to spread her wings and prove her mettle.

Young Sheldon Season 7 has a high chance of tackling George Sr.’s death

As Sheldon revealed in The Big Bang Theory, his father, George Cooper Sr., died when he was 14. As Young Sheldon has been featuring Sheldon as a teen for many episodes, the time has come for Season 7 to finish the season by addressing the beloved patriarch’s demise due to heart complications, precursors of which have appeared in previous seasons. Essayed impeccably by Lance Barber, the character will be greatly missed.

Season 7 of Young Sheldon will see Sheldon set off to Caltech

According to the predetermined TBBT universe rules, Young Sheldon will also depart for Caltech in season 7. After his stint in Germany and before his journey at Caltech begins, the little time that he has with his family will be precious. Especially since Sheldon is deeply attached to his mom, Mary, and his grandmother, Meemaw. However, as we see TBBT’s Sheldon begin his journey on the show as a narcissistic physicist with poor social skills and little empathy, the final season will also serve as a bridge between the two personas—the journey from a sweet yet weird science prodigy to a selfish, stubborn, and immature physicist who grows only thanks to his friend circle.

Young Sheldon Season 7 will address the changing family dynamics and complications

The seventh season will also address the Cooper family’s changing dynamics, especially after the respective rendezvous of Mary and George with Pastor Jeff and Brenda Sparks. While Missy has viewed her mother and the pastor holding hands, Billy Sparks has reported multiple instances of his mother and her father being alone in the chicken coop for far too long. Such things not only complicate the bonds with children but also bring commitment issues into the question for all family members. However, as we know that George and Mary do not divorce, for the sake of the family, we can only watch helplessly and pray for the best docking of the Young Sheldon ship at harbour as the Cooper family is onboard.

It will be the last chance to see all Coopers, Meemaw, Dale, the Professors Sturgis and Linkletter

Though Young Sheldon began with a focus to entertain the audience with a mini-Sheldon’s science antics and understand him better, the exceptional performances by the Cooper family carve a niche in the heart of the audience. This simply resulted in increasing the plotlines and broadening their focus to encapsulate the entire family. The sitcom has now become an easy and habitual part of our lives, making it really difficult to let go. So, it is better to not miss the final season of Young Sheldon, especially if you love sciency stuff, heartwarming family drama, and some memorable characters.
