Five Nights at Freddy's made a record-breaking release on Friday. Collecting $39.5 million on its opening day, the movie has now become the 3rd biggest horror opening of all time.

Estimated collection on weekend

It is now estimated that on its first weekend, the movie will cross $130 million globally, with an estimated $52 million coming from 60 overseas markets. According to a few surveys, this collection can beat The Nun II's collection of $88.1 million. The film's budget was an estimated $25 million.

Countries from where the movie collected the most

Five Nights at Freddy's has mostly become the top opening for Chile, Peru and Uruguay. On Friday, it collected $2.1 million in Mexico, $1.5 million in the UK and Ireland, $900,000 in Australia, $800,000 in Brazil, $800,000 in Germany, $800,000 in Poland, and $600,000 in Saudi Arabia.

You can watch it on Peacock now

Interestingly, the movie has already made its debut on Peacock OTT and is still making a successful run in the theatres.

Five Nights at Freddy's tells a story about a troubled security guard who begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. While spending his first night on the job, he realises the late shift at Freddy's won't be so easy to make it through.

Proud moment for Emma Tammi

This is also a proud moment for director Emma Tammi. She is the second female director of the year, whose movie has become this big, after Greta Gerwig as her directorial Barbie has become the first billion-dollar movie of 2023.
