The first poster of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s upcoming film Oru Jaathi Oru Jaathakam has been unveiled by its makers today (February 21). After Kurukkan, which came out last year, the much-awaited film stars father-son Sreenivasan and Vineeth Sreenivasan together. Fans of the actor are anticipating more updates on this movie in the near future.
The poster features eight female characters—possibly Vineeth's potential prospects for marriage—along with the actor dressed stylishly in a blue suit. It has Sayanora Philip, Nikhila Vimal, Kayadu Lohar, Indu Thambi, Ranjitha Madhu, Chippy Devassy, Varsha Ramesh, and Haritha Parakod.
Popular filmmaker M Mohanan, who has worked with actor-writer Sreenivasan in several movies, is credited with making some notable films like Katha Parayumpol and Aravindante Athidhikal.
Rakesh Mantodi wrote the script for the upcoming movie, which is touted to be a fun-filled family drama. In addition to the main cast, Babu Antony, Isha Talwar, and Aju Varghese have important roles in the movie. The supporting cast includes P P Kunhikrishnan, Mridul Nair, Vidhu Pratap, Amal Taha, and Arvind Raghu.

Oru Jaathi Oru Jaathakam, according to previous reports, centres on the life of a young man in Kerala's Malabar region. The majority of the characters in the movie speak Malabar slang, and it is said that the film was mostly shot in Northern Kerala. The Malabar region's customs and culture will also be covered in the movie. In an interview with OTTplay, Vineeth called the family drama a "completely insane" one.
Remarkably, a first-look poster for the movie was unveiled in 2023; it showed pictures of multiple women who seemed like possible matches on an astrological board.
Maha Subair has bankrolled Oru Jaathi Oru Jaathakam. Viswajith Odukkathil will oversee the camera work for the film, and Ranjan Abraham is the editor. The original score and soundtracks for this movie will be composed by Guna Balasubramanian.
