According to sources, the makers have plans to release the songs in this movie in February, and the film will hit the big screen in March.

The first-look poster of Kayal Anandhi’s upcoming film Mangai was released by actor Vijay Sethupathi and filmmakers Vetrimaaran and Ameer. Gubenthiran Kamatchi is directing the film, bankrolled by A R Jaffer Sadiq under the banner of JSM Pictures.
The poster hints at a women-centric movie that will catch viewers' interest, giving viewers a glimpse of Kayal Anandhi's character. Additionally, it depicts cellphones taking pictures of this character. According to sources, the makers have plans to release the songs in this movie in February, and the film will hit the big screen in March.

Mangai discusses how men perceive women and describes the adventures a woman goes on in a journey. The filming has been done in Kerala’s Munnar and Poopara, as well as in Tamil Nadu’s Theni, Cumbum, Kudalur, Lower Camp, and Chennai.
Gubenthiran Kamatchi has worked as a co-director and dialogue writer with several renowned filmmakers in Tamil and Telugu movies. He expressed his confidence that Mangai would be able to hold the attention of the audience during the release of the first look poster on January 1.
Dushyanth Jayaprakash, Ram, and Adithya Kathir are among the supporting cast of this movie. Dushyanth, who is the son of veteran actor and producer Jayaprakash, played a prominent role in Sasikumar's 2010 directorial Easan.
Kayal Anandhi made a cameo appearance in Naga Chaitanya’s Custody. She also acted in Vikram Sugumaran's Raavana Kottam in May last year. The political drama film also featured Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Prabhu in lead roles. The actress made her debut in the OTT space with Live Telecast in 2021, which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. She had also made it into the Malayalam film industry with the bilingual thriller Adrishyam, starring Sharaf U Dheen, Narain, and Joju George.
Director Ameer’s latest film, Iraivan Miga Periyavan, and Vasanth Ravi-starrer Indira are also being produced by A R Jaffer Sadiq under the same banner. The first look of Iraivan Miga Periyavan, which was out on Jaffer Sadiq's birthday, garnered a lot of attention from film enthusiasts.
