First Day First Show OTT release date: When and where to watch Srikanth Reddy, Sanchita Bashu's film

Iconic Telugu banner Poornodaya Creations (also known as Poornodaya Pictures), after leaving behind an unmatched legacy in the industry for many years, returned to film production again this year. Srija Edida, the granddaughter of the banner's founder Edida Nageswara Rao, had produced a film titled First Day First Show under a subsidiary division of the banner, Srija Entertainments. The slapstick comedy was directed by Vamsidhar Goud and Lakshmi Narayana P and released in theatres on September 2.

Now, after its theatrical, First Day First Show is set to premiere on an OTT platform the coming weekend. aha had bagged the streaming rights of the comic caper. The platform, earlier this week, announced that the film will release digitally across the globe on September 23. Srikanth Reddy and Sanchita Bashu played the lead roles in the film which had story and was co-written by Jathi Ratnalu maker Anudeep KV. Well known actor Edida Sriram was the presenter of the film.

The film revolves around Srinivas, an aimless college-going youngster based in Narayankhed, who is a diehard fan of Pawan Kalyan. He is in love with one of his classmates Laya, who is also a fan of the star. Ahead of the release of the Kushi, Laya requests Srinivas if they can watch the film together at the very first show in the village. Srinivas takes it upon himself to get Kushi tickets for her, come what may. Will he succeed in his pursuit?

Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Srinivas Reddy, Mahesh Achanta, Prabhas Sreenu, Gangavva, CVL Narasimha Rao, Vamsidhar Goud and Sai Charan Bojja too play important roles in the film. Radhan had scored the music for the film which had cinematography by Prasanth Ankireddy. Madhav was the editor of the same. First Day First Show received unfavourable reviews from critics and audiences alike, upon release. It remains to be seen if the film succeeds in generating some buzz with its OTT premiere.
