Birbal: Finding Vajramuni was the first in a proposed trilogy of films with actor-director MG Srinivas in the lead. The film, in which Srini (as the filmmaker is popularly known), played a lawyer, Mahesh, whose intention is to provide justice for the weaker section of society. The film released four years ago, and Srini is yet to revisit and get the sequel on floors. He’s been busy with his own directorials – Old Monk and now, Ghost – as well as a few gigs as actor only.

His latest social media post, though, has aroused excitement among fans. Srini is currently making an action thriller called Ghost with Shivarajkumar in the lead. The film also stars Mollywood actor Jayaram in a pivotal role and will bring veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher to Kannada cinema. Although Ghost is not complete yet, the bits of information that the filmmaker has let into the public domain has made it one of the most anticipated films of the year. And now, if his social media post of what appears to be a page from a script, is anything to go by, his next venture will be a crossover between Birbal and Ghost.

Excited fans have been calling this the Srini Cinematic Universe (SCU). Responding to Srini’s post, one wrote, “Kannada industry is witness first cinematic universe with Ghost movie ❤🔥, Ghost meet Birbal or Birbal meet Ghost 🔥, Just waiting for experience it🔥🤩😎😍,. Love you Shivanna ❤, love you srini sir❤, waiting waiting waiting.” Another added, “Guru it's interesting day by day ..i believe that the output will be shocking to movie buffs..only literally only few directors encashed the acting skill of great @NimmaShivanna ..i believe i am gonna witness this soon ..”

While some felt that Srini should have kept it as a surprise element, they also speculated if the blurred out script page was for the post-credit scene of Ghost.
