Filmmaker Siddharth Anand's Fighter opened to a thunderous response from the critics as well as the audience. India's first aerial action film featured Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Although Fighter got a bumper opening at the box office, the movie witnessed a sharp decline in collection after day five. However, the film is doing exceedingly well at the worldwide box office. Fighter has now entered the Rs 250 crore club at the global BO.
The official worldwide box figures for Fighter were shared by film industry tracker Manobala Vijayabalan. He took to his official X account and shared that the Siddharth Anand directorial has raced past the Rs 250 crore mark globally. After seven days of its theatrical run, Hrithik and Deepika's film Fighter's worldwide collection stands at Rs 252.52 crore. The next milestone for the movie would be Rs 300 crore.
On the other hand, the film's domestic collection is approximately Rs 140.35 crore. Fighter has failed to gain momentum in the domestic market. On day 7, the film earned only Rs 6.35 crore at the ticket window, which is less compared to the day 5 and 6 collections.
For those who are unaware, Siddharth Anand's Fighter features Hrithik as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, aka Patty. As for Deepika Padukone, she is seen as squadron leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni. Talking about Anil Kapoor, the actor has essayed the part of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh.
As far as Karan Singh Grover is concerned, he is seen as squadron leader Sartaj Gill. His call sign is Taj. Akshay Oberoi plays the part of squadron leader Basheer Khan, aka Bash. While they are an integral part of the Indian Air Force in the film, Rishabh Sawhney plays the role of a menacing villain in Siddharth Anand's film.
