Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter teaser to be unveiled in December, more details inside

For the first time, Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are collaborating for the film, Fighter, which is one of the most anticipated movies of 2024. The movie, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, is billed as the first airborne action movie in India. The movie is slated to open in theaters on January 25, 2024, precisely one year after Siddharth's Pathaan premiere.

Now, there's an update regarding the marketing strategy of the film. A source tells Pinkvilla that Siddharth Anand and the team plan to launch a 50-day marketing campaign for Fighter. The first week of December marks the teaser launch of the campaign. With this action thriller's initial asset, the goal is to take the audience on a unique journey. "Both Sid and Hrithik are very particular on what’s their first communication and they have both zeroed in on an asset that could become the talk of the town,” the source was quoted as saying.

The source continues by revealing that the idea of Fighter is to provide audiences with a behind-the-scenes look at the world through a series of timed material releases leading up to the movie's release. The music album will be the film campaign's high point. The director will be unwrapping one Fighter song at a time. Each song has its own flavor, ranging from dance numbers to romance, celebration, patriotism, and emotion. It has been planned such that it coincides with December and January's social calendar.

Fighter is the first film that Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan have ever collaborated on screen, and it's the actor's third project with director Siddharth Anand following Bang Bang and War. The film also stars Anil Kapoor in pivotal role.

Although the movie was first officially announced in January 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic caused delays in pre-production. After all, filming finally started in November 2022, and its intended release date of September 3, 2022, was pushed back because of production delays brought on by the pandemic. It is presently planned to open in theaters on January 25, 2024, one day ahead of Republic Day, following multiple postponed release dates.
