The upcoming series is slated for a January 31 release with two new episodes on Wednesday and premieres first on FX and then a day later on streaming platform Hulu.
Trailer hints at bitter revenge
“Revenge is best served when cold." This is taken seriously by the elite and high-class New Yorker ladies when their secrets get leaked after a bitter backstabbing by Truman Capote and they team up to an intricate revenge plan. The aspiring writer gets closer to his self-destruction after he reveals adultery, jealousy, and relationships in his story, La Côte Basque 1965, and stakes the name and fame of the richest social groups.
In the brief introduction for the social Swans, we are hinted at the "sex, money, and endless adventure,” that follows their glamorous lives
The promising cast includes Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny, Calista Flockhart, Demi Moore, Ella Beatty, Tom Hollander, Molly Ringwald, and Treat Williams. All eight episodes are spearheaded by director Gus Van Sant, and showrunner and writer Jon Robin Baitz's collaborative work. It also marked Treat Williams' final role before his tragic death in an accident last year. He plays media mogul and CBS head, Bill Paley.
After its debut in 2017 to critical acclaim and many Emmy nominations, the anthology series is preparing for its second season. Ryan Murphy is directing an ensemble-cast television series that tells the story of the literary scandal between Capote and the high-class Swans.
