Vaali Mohan Das is directing the comedy-thriller. Sources reveal that the remaining actors and technical crew for the film have not yet been finalised by the makers, which is currently in production. Produced by B Jagadish, Madraskaaran is anticipated to be released by the latter part of 2024.
The director and other members of the Madraskaaran team can be seen telling Shane Nigam a story in the announcement video that was released on various social media platforms. Lost in his own reverie, he starts to imitate well-known actors like Thalapathy Vijay, Rajinikanth, and Sivaji Ganesan. The actor, however, made it clear that he was going to Kochi after receiving little appreciation from the bewildered director and his staff.
But the director was so taken aback by Shane Nigam's dialogue delivery of "Ithellam velakke aavathu" that the former chose to cast him in the film. The actor then asks if there is a machine gun fight scene, romance, item song, or drunken dance in the movie. He agrees to the project right away after hearing the team member say that there are not any conventional aspects in the movie.
Fans of the actor assume that Shane Nigam will be playing a Chennai-based Malayali in the movie.
