Father-daughter duo Mohan Babu and Manchu Lakshmi to act together for the first time in Agni Nakshatram

Mohan Babu, who has acted with his sons Manchu Manoj and Manchu Vishnu in the past, will be sharing screen space with his daughter, actress and producer Lakshmi Manchu for the first time now. The latter has been teasing crowds on social media about a special announcement over the last few days and confirmed this news about their collaboration earlier today.

The film, directed by Prateek Prajosh, has been titled Agni Nakshatram. The title announcement teaser had a police van passing through a dry terrain, ultimately leading the viewers to the title. Agni Nakshatram will be jointly produced by Mohan Babu and Lakshmi Prasanna under Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Manchu Entertainment, the title launch teaser confirms.

Agni Nakshatram will be a one-of-a-kind of attempt, say the makers. Viswant and Chitra Shukla headline the film that’s in the last phase of the shoot. Other actors in the film include Samuthirakani and Malayali actor Siddique. The film has music by Lijo K Jose with Gokul Bharathi cranking the camera. Madhu Reddi is the editor of this film. Son of India, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, was Mohan Babu’s last theatrical release, produced by his son Manchu Vishnu. Lakshmi was the host of a cookery show titled aha Bhojanambu, that streamed on the Telugu OTT platform last year and also played a key role in Tharun Bhascker’s short for Netflix’s Pitta Kathalu. The actress has been actively posting videos on her Youtube channel in recent weeks.
