Sonu Sood has bagged the lead role in an upcoming movie titled Fateh. The action-thriller film was announced by him as the leading face on the two posters that Zee Studios released. The caption, too, in fact, called Sonu ‘the nation’s hero!’

The poster itself had the caption “One man’s war against India’s hidden enemy.” One poster saw him with a hoodie, which is sure to give you a déjà vu of Ek Villain. Another poster sees him flaunt his muscles, which is much closer to his Dabangg character.

The Abhinandan Gupta directorial promises to be inspired by real-life incidents. The movie also promises action sequences at its core. No surprises here.

Sonu Sood described the film as ‘thought provoking’. Asserting that the story piqued his interest, the actor also said that it was one of the most crucial subjects which demanded people’s attention.

Sonu has been in the news for helping people throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor also got into various controversies owing to his actions. While it was often stated that Sonu was helping people to get into politics, he denied it and said that he has no intentions of getting into politics, at least not at the moment.

Sonu Sood returns on screen after his role in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe film Simmba, which was released in 2019. The actor has been shooting for Akshay Kumar starring Prithviraj but once again, he just plays one of the leads in the film, not the lead, as he does in Fateh.

Fateh will go on floors in early 2022. The makers have announced that it will release in the same year in theatres. There is still no update on its OTT release so far but the movie is likely to release on Zee5 since Zee Studios is backing the project.
