Fateh box office collection day 1: Sonu Sood's action thriller struggles, earns less than Game Changer Hindi version

Fateh box office collection day 1: Sonu Sood made his directorial debut with an action thriller, Fateh. Starring him in the lead role, the movie was released in cinemas on January 10, 2025. The action-packed film clashed with Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's film Game Changer at the box office. Needless to add, this clash affected Fateh. The Sonu Sood-starrer got a slow start at the ticket window.

Fateh box office report day 1

Sonu Sood's Fateh's shoot commenced at the beginning of 2023 and was wrapped by October of that year. Produced by Sood and Umesh KR Bansal, the film was finally released in 2025. However, it opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The mixed response led to the film's rocky start at the box office.

According to early estimates, Fateh opened to Rs 2.45 crore at the box office. The collection is less than Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer's Hindi version. Shankar's movie earned Rs 7 crore. It remains to be seen if Fateh sees a surge in its box office collection or not.

Sonu Sood on Fateh's comparison with Animal

In an interview with India Today, Sonu Sood opened up about his film Fateh's comparison with Animal. Netizens drew parallels between the two films because of an action sequence where Sonu fights masked men. 

Talking about it, Sonu mentioned, "We considered the possibility of people thinking this looks like Animal, but it was a technical necessity. The fighters were brought in from Mexico and South Africa, and it wasn’t feasible to replace them immediately. Recycling the same fighters was the most practical solution

Apart from Sonu, Fateh's star cast includes Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, Jacqueline Fernandez, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Prakash Belawadi, and others. The film will drop on Disney+ Hotstar after its theatrical run ends.
